Who We Are

We are a dedicated collective of community members—neighbors who aim to support and protect each other's rights, fostering unity and resilience in the face of challenges. Together, we strive to create a strong, inclusive community.

Our Focus Area

Building connection, training & resources for individuals to be active in their neighborhoods and work together towards a unified response.

Neighborhood ICE Response Teams

Neighborhood ICE Response Teams are organized by neighborhood to allow for local coordination and rapid response. Several roles can be filled to support a response team, but you only need one volunteer to start!

Training & Events

We help direct individuals toward available trainings and events hosted by Iowa NICER and community partners. We focus on building collaboration and effective response strategies to protect community members.

Toolkits & Resources

Toolkits and resources for individual advocacy and organizing in your neighborhood are available to download and share. You can also find tips gathered from movement leaders across the country, and information about organizations supporting immigrants and refugees in the Des Moines metro.
